A Night of Poetry: May 28th, 7pm-8pm

Join us for “Jameela and Two Sams,” a night of poetry, stories, and sharp observations featuring Durham poet and curator Jameela F. Dallis alongside Raleigh writers Sam Canney and Sam Pepple. Expect an intimate one-hour reading set filled with humor, heartbreak, everyday chaos, and the kind of lines that stick with you long after the last drink. Doors open at 6:30 PM, readings start at 7:00 PM, and all ages are welcome 🍻

Belts & Beers Workshop: June 23rd, 6pm-8pm

Come sip on some beer and create your own custom-sized leather belt out of top quality leather and solid brass or nickle hardware. All materials, instruction, and 2 brews are included in the price. You will be able sip, cut, hammer, punch, and stamp your way to a custom belt that will last you a lifetime and beyond! Registration is required and limited to 7 spots! NHID Pop-Up Music: Saturdays, 11am-1pm

Swing through NHID on Saturdays in the spring and fall for live music, easy daytime hangs, and good stuff happening in the shop. Catch Monica Kennedy on April 18th, Grace Lucia on April 25th, Margot Perkinson on May 2nd, Burn the Breeze Duo on May 9th, and Sterling Scott on May 16th. We’ll have $5 mimosas flowing every Saturday plus free wine tastings while you shop, stroll, and settle in for some live tunes.

Makers Alley Market Every Third Tuesday, 5pm-7:30pm

Join us April through December for the Makers Alley Market, an artisan focused night with popup vendors, live music, and plenty happening inside the shop. We’re keeping extended hours in the summer, pouring $5 drafts every Tuesday, and giving you a solid reason to stroll around NHID and see what’s new. Swing by, hang out, and make a night of it.

Bring Your Own Craft Nights Every Thursday, 5pm-7pm

Pull up with your own project or grab something in the shop and get to work. We’ve got plenty to choose from if you’re coming in empty handed, from paint by number to felting kits to theremin kits. Markers and scissors are set up at the bar, and we’re running $2 off all THC and CBD drinks while you hang and create.

Free wine tastings every Wednesday and Saturday, no gatekeeping. Some weeks it’s our guy Mark pouring and breaking things down, other weeks we bring in a wine rep to switch it up and keep it interesting. Come taste, ask questions, find a bottle you actually like, and hang for a bit. Easy, casual, and always free 🍷.
